Sungjune Kim

About Me

I am a Ph.D. student at the department of artificial intelligence in Korea University, supervised by Prof. Sangpil Kim. My research focuses on deep learning based computer vision for autonomous driving and robot navigation. Specifically, processing visual perceptions for motion and trajectory prediction is my primary interest. Ultimately, my goal is to develop safe autonomous driving systems or robots that can interact harmoniously with humans and koalas!🚙🧍‍♂️🐨🤖

• [Mar. 2025] I got a 1-year visiting research offer from the University of Michigan 🇺🇸
• [Feb. 2025] A paper on 3D Occupancy Prediction is accepted to CVPR 2025.
• [Jul. 2024] A paper on trajectory prediction is accepted to ECCV 2024.
• [Mar. 2024] Started on-site research collaboration with Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology.
• [Feb. 2024] A paper on pedestrian trajectory prediction is accepted to CVPR 2024.
• [Dec. 2023] Recieved the 2023-Fall Best Paper Award in School of Informatics, Korea University.
• [Oct. 2023] A paper on multimodal recommender system is accepted to Information Sciences.

• [Mar. 2022] Started the integrated MS/PhD program in the Computer Vision Lab, Korea University.
